Those of us who have benefitted from an education at Whitgift have relied for far too long on the philanthropic initiative of one man. It is now over 425 years since John Whitgift founded the School to provide for the ‘poorer sorte’ in the area. In those four centuries, there has been no diminution in the importance of education for the individual and society. So, it is high time that we as a school community step in to reinforce the charitable efforts of the founder.
Thank you in advance for your support, I am confident that the wider Whitgift community will build a fund big enough to ensure that Whitgift School makes a major social impact over its next four centuries.

ABOUT
An extraordinary education and a force for social good. John Whitgift founded our school 400 years ago, for the ‘poorer sorte’ in the Borough of Croydon.
TRANSFORMING LIVES
Improving social mobility is a key aim of Whitgift For All. South Croydon puts us alongside one of the poorest performing areas of London in educational terms.
LEAVE A LEGACY
Creating a Will is deeply personal, driven by your desire to support loved ones. Consider leaving a legacy to Whitgift to empower pupils and contribute to its future potential.
RECOGNISING YOUR SUPPORT
Whitgift For All is looking for a step-change in its financial relationship with its alumni. Like many independent schools we are looking for substantial sums to make the difference that we aspire to.
